Can you legally camp on the Corp of engineers lands that is not listed as a camping area.
August 29, 2022 at 9:57 amRandell, the Army Corps of Engineers has a rule stating that you are allowed to camp only in areas that have been designated for camping. That is, you cannot camp in places that were not set aside for camping. If your goal is to boondock away from other campers, you can still do so as long as you remain on campground land, and as long as that campground has no other policies against it. For example, most campgrounds run by the ACOE require you to be camped in marked campsites. However, I do know of other campgrounds where there are no marked sites, and that you are free to camp anywhere as long as you remain within the boundaries of the campground.
