Labonte Park Camping

To get a camping permit, you must contact the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department at (361) 826-PLAY. They will ask you to e-mail them photos of your drivers license and license plates, then e-mail you back the permit. There’s a short three (3) day maximum.

It doesn’t get that crowded here, even on weekends. At worst, about half the campsites are empty. However, parking space at each campsite is small. However, most folks with long trailers just park on the grass, or they park in the parking space and let their trailer and tow vehicle stretch over the grass.

Otherwise, Labonte Park is more popular with boaters and fishermen. The nearby boat ramp, located on the other side of the highway, is where most of the action is.
