Camping at Luna Park Campground

Odd volcanic rock formations give moon-like appearance to this popular camping area and picnic spot. While there is little shade, and no potable water, it remains a popular destination for rock climbers.

The entire 9.4 mile trek from Monticello is all along hard-packed dirt and gravel and runs through the bottom of a shallow canyon. During wet weather, this road becomes muddy, and 4WD will be required. If dry, 2WD vehicles can make it up here, but it will still be rocky and bumpy.

There are no trash cans here, pack out your trash.
