Camping at Streeter Campground

Located just four blocks from downtown Aurora, and right in the heart of Streeter Park and the municipal swimming pool, this campground encourages tourists to spend their time (and money) in Aurora, which makes this campground a great idea for local businesses.

There are 16 back-in sites total. Most of these sites are suitable only for small to medium-sized RVs, but there are a couple sites that can fit larger rigs up to 36 feet maximum. The sites are close together, and there isn’t much tree shade. However, the police do patrol through here often each day.

Because this place is a city park with playground and swimming pool, there is a lot of noise during the warmer months. It also sits along Highway 34, the main thoroughfare through town. There are also railroad tracks along the opposite end of the city, about a mile away, which you can easily hear at night.

There are no shower facilities inside the campground restroom, however the nearby swimming pool has showers. It costs $3.00 per adult to get in.
