Camping at Wentworth Springs Campground

Located along the Rubicon Jeep Trail, Wentworth Springs Campground is accessible only to high clearance, 4WD vehicles. Small trailers are okay as long as they are designed for high clearance, rugged use.

The route up here starts just as with Airport Flat Campground, except once you get to Airport Flat, you keep going along Wentworth Springs Road another 7 miles until you reach the campground. The road from Airport Flat Campground to here become progressively more bumpy, rocky, and uneven, requiring high clearance.

Wentworth Springs Campground is a beautiful destination, well remote, and well-immersed into the forest. Gerle Creek is a short walk away, and you’re only a short hike to Loon Lake.
