Overnight Parking and Sleeping at New Mexico Rest Areas
You are allowed to remain at a New Mexico rest area for no longer than 24 hours within a 3-day period. This rule appears to apply to tourist information centers and roadside picnic areas managed by the NM DOT as well. For the full discussion on parking and sleeping at New Mexico rest areas, see, “New Mexico Rest Area Rules“.
