South Dakota Rest Area Rules
South Dakota’s Highway Code includes the following laws regarding use of its rest areas…
- Camping is prohibited (§31-7-15)
- Camping also includes temporary lodging in a vehicle (§31-7-16)
- Maximum time limit is 3-hours, or 10-hours for commercial drivers (§31-7-17)
