This includes the East side of SR-153, from the Buck Ridge junction North to the Skyline Trailhead road. The work will affect a small portion of the Paiute 01 trail as well.

Big Flat Dispersed Camping Area is a favorite recreation destination because of the spectacular scenery it affords. It’s a large grassy field with dozens of smaller forest roads and OHV trails. It’s popular with boondockers who ride dirt bikes, side-by-sides, and four-wheelers.

It’s also a popular destination for snowmobile riders.

There is still plenty of boondocking in Utah and within Fishlake National Forest. The closure is expected to be lifted between the beginning of August to mid-August, 2023.
