Camping at Black Kettle Campground

With 12 camping units, these are small sites intended for tent campers. There is a parking lot here, but room only for small vehicles such as cars, vans, or pickup trucks. Motorhomes and trailers would not fit here. But that being said, it’s common to see vehicles with trailers hogging up parking spaces here.

That being said, there is plenty of room for RV camping at the picnic area, though technically camping is not allowed there, and the Forest Service patrols here regularly.

There are also many signs posted warning against driving or parking on grass in the camping and picnic areas.

Crowds are pretty light here during the week, you shouldn’t have a problem scoring a decent campsite any time during the week.
