White’s Park Arena Campground

A permit is required to camp here, which can be obtained by calling the 2nd Precinct Commissioner’s Office. They’ll ask you to email them a photo of your driver’s license, and they’ll email you back the permit. The permit is free.

Otherwise, there is no fee to camp here. The rules state to camp only gravel areas, but there are very few gravel areas. The Commissioner’s office will tell you to park anywhere in and around White Memorial Park Rd, including the grass areas. What most people seem to do is either park where there are picnic tables, or where the grass is thin.

There are several sites closer to the arena with electrical hookup boxes, but we didn’t stay there because we were told there are no hookups at these campsites.

In our experience, as long as you stay here when there are no events taking place, you’ll find plenty of peace and quiet, and almost near solitude.
