Catfish Creek is a free, recreation area, managed by South Florida Water Management District. Camping is allowed here. It's primarily popular with hikers and horseback riders, and is a great location for kayaks, canoes, and airboats. Much of the dry ground can get soggy during rains and turns into a marsh.
Town of KICCO Campsite, River Ranch, FL
Town of KICCO Campsite is a free, developed campground offered by South Florida Water Management District. It's one of five campsites located within the KICCO Wildlife Management Area (WMA). This particular campsite is the largest of the five, and the most popular. It has room for full-sized RVs, and offers fishing off the banks of the Kissimmee.

Rattlesnake Hammock Campsite is a free, developed campground offered by South Florida Water Management District. It's one of five campsites located within the KICCO Wildlife Management Area (WMA). This particular campsite is a tent-only site, with parking nearby. There are fire rings and picnic tables provided.

This particular campsite is small, suitable only for cars, vans, and pickups, and only just a few at that. Trailers under 20ft long "may" be okay, it's just that there isn't much turn-around.

This particular campsite is small, suitable only for cars, vans, and pickups, and only just a few at that. Trailers under 20ft long "may" be okay, it's just that there isn't much turn-around.
Allapattah Flats Campground, Port St. Lucie, FL
Allapattah Flats Campground is a free, developed campground operated by South Florida Water Management District. A free "Special Use License" is required to camp here. Vehicles are not allowed into the campground, but there is small parking lot adjacent to it. You must hike your tent and camping gear in.
Hickory Hammock Campground, Lorida, FL
Hickory Hammock Campground is a free, developed campground offered by South Florida Water Management District. It requires a "Special Use License" which are free, and run for a six month period running from June 1 to December 31, and January 1 to May 31. This campground is known mostly as an equestrian camp, but it's common to see RVers without horses here.
