Thomas Lake Park, Naples, TX
Thomas Lake Park is operated by the Army Corps of Engineers as a free campground and boat ramp along Thomas Lake, about 10 miles north east of Naples, TX. The campground has picnic tables, and trash cans, and that's about it. The campground and boat ramp are under the jurisdiction of Wright Patman Lake.
Jackson Creek Park, Douglassville, TX
This Army Corps of Engineers campground is heavily wooded, but comes with the usual amenities the ACOE is known known for, including restrooms, picnic tables, fire rings, and boat ramp. The campsites here are small, and may be difficult, if not impossible, for larger RVs to get in and out of.
Boone Park, Nocona, TX
One of two free campgrounds operated by the City of Nocona (the other being Joe Benton Park), this little campground offers lakeside camping with beautiful sunsets. Although the amenities are dated, it does offer shaded picnic tables, cooking grills, trash cans, and a porta-potty. There's also a boat ramp.
Joe Benton Park, Nocona, TX
Joe Benton Park is owned and operated by the City of Nocona. It's one of two free campgrounds the city operates on Lake Nocona (the other being Boone Park). Joe Benton Park offers a lakeside camping, but no hookups or dump station. It's strictly primitive, though there is porta-potty on site and trash cans.
Lake Daniel Campground, Breckenridge, TX
About seven miles south Breckenridge, TX is Lake Daniel. The city-owned campground is located along the northern shore, on the west end of the dam. The campground is free, but has very limited accommodations. There are only two sites large enough for full-sized RVs, and about two or three more sites for small to mid-sized RVs.
Knox City RV Park, Knox City, TX
Just a small grassy lot with four (4) back-in sites with 50-30-12 amp electrical hookups, potable water hookup, and sewer hookup. There's possible room for more campsites, but without hookups. It's free to camp for two (2) nights, then it's $10.00 per night with a maximum of 14 nights, paid at City Hall.
Haskell RV Park, Haskell, TX
This city-owned RV park has 36 spaces, most of which are pull through, and outfitted with 50-30-15 amp electrical hookups, potable water hookups, and sewer hookups. You get one night for free, afterwards, it's priced at $20.00 a night, $120.00 for a week, or $450.00 per month.
