Free Camping on Lytle Creek

Fall Camp, also known as "Yellow Post Site #10", is located along North Fork Lytle Creek, or Paiute Road. It's a well-shaded site and you can easily miss it if you're not watching carefully. 4WD with high clearance is highly recommended due to soft sand and rocky conditions.

Fall Camp Yellow Post Site

If you manage to pull a medium to large size trailer to here you’ll have difficulty backing it in because you’re completely driving over a rocky creek bed. This site is best suited for pickup campers, vans, and SUVs.

Campfires require a Calfiornia Campfire Permit which is the law all across the state. You can get one for free online just by watching a video and filling out a form at the Ready for Wildfire Website.

There are no restroom facilities here, you will have to either bring a shove and dig a hole, or have your own porta-potty, if your vehicle does not have its own toilet.

Don’t expect a lot of privacy here because this site is right up against the road, and there are always 4WD enthusiasts going up and down here.
