Boondocking in Texas!
Boondocking in Texas is found mostly at the state’s five national forests and five national grasslands. There is also free camping along South Padre Island, and at two National Wildlife Refuges. The Army Corps of Engineers offers free camping at several of its reservoirs. You can find free camping in the state’s wildlife management areas.
